Larry Yokoyama, MD
Larry Yokoyama, M.D. is a Family Practice doctor who was born in Ann Arbor, Michigan but grew up in the Aloha state Hawaii. He earned a pre-medical degree from the University of Hawaii and went on to receive his medical degree from University of Hawaii John A. Burns School of Medicine. Following graduation, Dr. Yokoyama completed his residency at Tripler Army Medical Center in Honolulu. Since then, he served as Assistant Chief of Department of Family Practice at Winn Army Hospital located at the Fort Stewart Army facility just outside of Savannah, Georgia. After a brief period of private practice in Richmond Hill, Georgia and Kailua, Hawaii, Dr. Yokoyama settled in Bakersfield, California in 1991. As co-founder of Centennial Medical Group, he provides care to adult and pediatric patients in its downtown Bakersfield clinic. In addition to being a Family Practice physician, Dr. Yokoyama held numerous positions throughout his career as an Emergency Room physician. Dr. Yokoyama also holds multiple preceptor programs to receive Physician Assistant students, and to bring future healthcare professionals up-to-date medical knowledge in their clinical training.
